I've experienced few summers as beautiful as those in Portland, and Janet's house is in a superlative neighborhood. Houses are lovely, and it is filled with leafy green trees. Walking is easy and safe. The room and bathroom are charming--especially the pink-tiled bathroom, with its wonderful light fixtures and both a shower and and bathtub. It has a very comfortable bed and excellent air-conditioning, which is effective and quiet. There is plenty of closet space, as well as ample drawers and a built-in dressing table. Janet is honest when she says there isn't a kitchen, but there are a small refrigerator, electric kettle, microwave, and various dishes and cutlery, so it is possible to bring takeout meals home and warm them in the microwave. The only tweak I would make is to increase counter space and have a means of washing up more readily available. Also, some soundproofing would help.

Great stay in a historical house. We loved the mid-century themed decor of the living space, comfortable bed, and functional furniture pieces. As the listing mentioned, we were prepared to see a unique bathroom but it's truly beyond impressive and we felt lucky to get an opportunity to try it out. The high-quality toiletries are a great plus for helping us relax after a busy day. The neighborhood was also very beautiful and quiet, and we felt completely safe and relaxed during our stay. Janet is very nice and communicative, and made preparations and suggestions tailored to our needs. I wish I had more time to browse the books on the bookshelf, many of them seem really interesting. Would love to go back again!

We've stayed here a couple times -- fabulous space, beautiful neighborhood, walking distance to Reed College. And absolutely gorgeous in the springtime!

We were visiting Portland for a graduation dinner at Eastmoreland Golf Course. Janet’s suite was within walking distance. We enjoyed the beautiful neighborhood, comfortable living space, and large nostalgic bathroom with adjoining changing room. Access was easy and Janet answered our questions quickly.
