I'm Nicoletta and Diego is my husband. We have two wonderful boys, Giovanni 11 years and Pietro 6 years. I moved from Venice to Dolomites some years ago: one of the best choice of my life! Diego is a real mountain man, born and grown up in Dolomites. I always loved mountains and mountain sports so when I met Diego I understood 'the way to follow'. I left my job ( I worked in a famous art gallery) and my house.....and I changed my life. Diego let me loved mountains more and more, mountains are his life and his job.... we travelled a lot around the world climbing and trekking until Giovanni arrived so we had to stop....then Pietro arrived and we had to stop.....But only for now, as soon as they have the right age we start traveling again around the world!!!! The view from our house is really wonderful, you have to come and see! It is very open: starting from the left side you see the Montanel mountain, Monfalconi, Spalti di Toro, Picco de Roda and Duranno..all different Dolomiti groups.. We are one of the last house of the village going up on the hill, we are at 1100mt high, and from here you don't hear noise, only wind and animals. In winter time and summer time we have sun all day long (very rare in the mountain village). From here I start walking in the forest in summer time and with mountaineering ski in the winter. The first time we saw this house we felt in love immediately....we bought it and the year later we started renting rooms first, and then apartments.... The biggest part of our clients after the first time they come again, is like a refuge....And this is the best part of renting: find friends from all the world... Our goal is not only renting the apartment but sharing with our guests our passion and our knowledge of the Dolomites, and helping to organize their stay here. Our house is located exactly in Pozzale a quiet villagge over Pieve di Cadore, out of the noise and the traffic, with the forest around and a big lawn. My husband Diego is MOUNTAIN GUIDE and SKI INSTRUCTOR, he can give you all the information that you need to make your holiday special. We live at the ground floor at your disposal for any help. We have books and maps of the area, both the apartments have the Free WiFi connection. The apartments are in the mansard all wood furnishing. In the garden you have barbecue, tables, slide and swings for the children. Private parking. Our area, called Dolomiti of Centro Cadore, it is full of trekking and climbing opportunity in summer time and mountaineering ski and snowshoewing in winter time. Huts are open in the winter weekend too. Very close to us there is the Centro Cadore lake, the Caralte Adventure park that is very funny, the Biking route 'Ciclabile delle Dolomiti' : you can reach Cortina and the Austria always on the bicycles. Pieve di Cadore, the main villagge close to us, has hospital, museums, pharmacy, restaurants and pizzeria. In this village the famous Tiziano painter was born. We are 30 Km from Cortina d'Ampezzo, you can enjoy this wonderful and busy place and breathing the mountain peace during the evening in our garden looking at the extraordinary view on the mountains.
