The property is wonderful. It was clean and large and modern considering its age. It was very comfortable for my family and we all enjoyed it immensely. The location was great and I can't compliment the wonderful master bathroom enough.

Champe's home was perfect for our group to gather and celebrate a friend's engagement. The house is as described and the location is perfect - right on beautiful Monument Avenue - with a really great front porch, fun little backyard sitting area, and ample space within. The house does come with a cat (so beware if you have allergies), but you almost wouldn't know it because the cat was so self-sufficient -- it had access to the house/basement through a cat door which was separate from our living area, and it was very sweet when we did cross paths. Communication with Champe was very easy, and in fact, Champe went above and beyond in helping us book her home. She was very accommodating, friendly, super responsive, and I'd certainly book with her again. Thanks, Champe!

The Monument Mansion is on a beautiful historic residential street in a vibrant part of town, well situated for long walks and viewing spectacular gardens and historic homes. The home has all the charm you would expect of a historic building (100 years old!), including a few quirks (slow hot water), but also has lovely modern amenities. Champe was a very thoughtful and accommodating host for my family in town for my daughter's college graduation. The main floor is fabulous for entertaining, and it includes a picturesque veranda, quaint private back courtyard (with gas grill), and large kitchen with a wine refrigerator. The bedrooms on the second floor were very spacious and attractive with updated bathrooms (the second bedroom could use blinds). The three bedrooms on the third floor were a little more difficult to get to via a narrow staircase (part of the quirkiness of an older home), but also attractive and spacious, and they shared one bathroom. The third bedroom is better situated for a younger person as it is a bit minimalistic. Overall, this is a beautiful home that provides an ideal setting for a special family event. My family loved our stay in Champe's house and so enjoyed getting to explore this beautiful part of town.
