What a magical time we had aboard the Mazu! We couldn’t have enjoyed our stay more. My daughters (aged 14 and 12) and I spent the week aboard this charming boat, and were joined by my husband for our final two nights. Olga and Chip were so welcoming and helpful, whenever we had a question, and were quick to respond. We also loved our tour of the Damariscotta River aboard their tour boat (and the oysters couldn’t have been fresher or more perfectly shucked by Olga!) We loved the boat; it was immaculate, well laid out, and had everything we needed for our stay. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the linens and towels soft and luxurious. And there is nothing like being rocked to sleep by gentle waves! We had such a wonderful time playing games and reading, swimming off the Mazu, and enjoying the sunsets from the sweet table on its stern. We also loved exploring Damariscotta - a beautiful town with excellent restaurants and fun shopping. We hope to make this a summer tradition!
It was the best micro vacation
A perfect place to stay while visiting Damariscotta and mid coast Maine. The boat was a perfect place to stay and Olga was wonderful.
What a wonderful place to have a fantastic getaway! Of course I’ve always loved being on a boat and for someone who is 6’-4” - I could easily stand up 😊 inside the boat, which was comfortable throughout. One night we also had friends stay with us onboard, and the four of us were very comfortable with the sleeping arrangements and where it was raining that night, the main cabin was quite comfortable for the four of us to play card games, etc. Olga is a great communicator and very responsive to questions. Of course in addition to staying on her boat, Olga and her husband Chip run the oyster cruise down the Daramiscotta River, which is a definite must if you like oysters and are interested in the history of oyster gathering and farming along the river. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would certainly come again, as well as recommend our friends to a stay on the Mazu!
Olga is a gracious host to the 2 most unique Abnb properties in Maine. We would highly recommend staying at the Damariscotta landing in either boat.

Hi! I'm Olga Oros, from NYC via Hungary, living in Maine, documentary filmmaker. What I do depends on the season and the location. During the summer months in Maine I run Maine Bed and Boats and Damariscotta River Cruises with my partner, Captain Chip. We enjoy meeting amazing people, filming, taking photos, having fun and tending my organic garden. When the weather gets cooler I teach classes based on Traditional Chinese Medicine and Qigong. In the very cold months I'm back in New York City and hibernate in the editing room creating documentary films and travel somewhere very warm. And somewhere in between I visit my family in Budapest and friends in other parts of the world.
