Enjoy one of my most charming and lovely rooms here at the cottage. Open porch for morning coffee overlooks a large fully fenced backyard. Chickens on site and vegetable garden in the summer. The French Qu room, has a Queen bed, with option for a 3rd person floor setup & shares the cottage with one other guest. Fully stocked kitchen. Restaurant options and bus line across the street. Located just mn from the airport and 20 mn from downtown Seattle. You’ll be welcome here. Welcome to the Cottage! This is a perfect place for backpackers, couples, or single folks looking to enjoy the company of others. You may be a new Seattleite checking out the living options, a tourist enjoying a short vacation, or a traveler preparing to fly out the next morning (that airport couldn't be closer). For reservations with 3 guests, a floor mattress will be provided along with additional bedding. Blankets and a fan are in the closet. Fridge is stocked with complimentary water, milk, cream and the occasional beer or two. Tea, coffee, cereal and hot chocolate in the cupboard. The kitchen comes with dishes and silverware, and many common baking and cooking items. Everything is available for use as long as you wash and put them away. Recycling, compost and garbage are located under the sink. You can visit the chickens in the west corner of the yard and check for fresh eggs. The Cottage does not have air conditioning, but it does have a central air fan which keeps the house relatively cool in the summer. Please take care of this home with the love and care you would your own. Many of the items in this home are placed here out of love and the desire to create a truly homey environment. A special collection of handmade mugs, my mothers wedding dish set, and original art on the walls are just a few of these items that make this home special and unique. If you are interested in reserving the ENTIRE COTTAGE privately, please ask.

Betka’s small farm, and group cottage is a wonderfully peaceful place. Even with others there, it feels open, accepting, and so full of respect with the animals greeting me, and the trees shading the yard. The access is easy and private. The room is quiet and great temperature. The bathroom is super clean, and everything easy to find and easy to use. I would highly recommend checking out Burien and coming here for a short or long stay. Thank You so much!

Betka’s home is absolutely one a kind! Could not be more charming. I loved the animal presence - friendly dogs, cat and chickens. It is an oasis. Betka is friendly, communicative, and helpful. Even while the home is shared, I felt like my space was entirely respected. Last and certainly not least, the bed was the most comfortable bed I’ve slept in in YEARS! I sacrificed more productive hours than I should have enjoying the comfort of that bed. Thank you, Betka!

10mn from the airport, 20mn from downtown by car. This is a great location if you enjoy peace and relaxation out of the city, but with easy access to downtown. Burien is close to the city, yet feels like a small town- its main street is just 1 mile south of me and has many great restaurants, bars, cafes, bakeries and brewery. Farmers market every Thursday May- September. There is also a movie theater that plays a different movie each week.
-Close to waterfront parks, walking trails, and Japanese Gardens.
-Great Thai restaurant across the street- highly recommend.
-Chinese restaurant, 7-eleven, and breakfast joint within a few blocks.
-Neighborhood is safe, but please don't tempt anyone by leaving bags or valuables in your car.

出行信息

To downtown Seattle (from my home)
You can catch the 131 bus to downtown Seattle just across the street from my house heading North. Stay on this bus all the way to Pikes Place Market. It turns into bus 26, which you can catch on your way back- or any bus that is going to the Burien Transit Center.
To airport (from my home)
Take 131 bus (stop is just one block South of the house past 136th st) to the Burien Transit Center. You will change to bus #522 and take this to the Airport.
OR: walk to Ambaum via 134th st heading West. Take the (Bus #) all the way to the airport.
Car Hire:
Please call Saleem: (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) He charges a fair price and will take good care of you. He picks up all of my guests and I recommend him exclusivly if you need a taxi. $20 to the airport.
Airport pickup/dropoff:
I offer shuttle service to and from the airport for $15 each way. Transport from King Street Station or the ferry docks for $25.
King County Metro: provides local and express bus service connecting Burin with Seattle, Bellevue and other cities. Park and ride lot and direct bus service to downtown seattle:

I love coffee and consider myself a huge foodie- I embrace all stereotypes of the word! Seattle is home to amazing restaurants- of which I am happy to share my favorites. I cook a lot at home and try to eat as clean as possible--but if you bring me homemade bread I won’t refuse. Currently I’m in medical school at UWSOM so I often rely on my dear friend/ roommate, Edmund to help welcome guests and be available if I’m not able to be home when you arrive. When I was a little girl, I fell in love with the "Beef- its whats for dinner!" commercial. Friends were always welcome--there was always enough food, and a place to sleep. You belonged. This is how I live my life today. My guests are my passion. Strangers are always welcome- and there will always be enough food. If you need something you have only to ask. I find that having a 2400 sf home with two levels, gives everyone the space they need. It's not perfect- but it is a home, and it will be your home as long as you stay.
