Sanjay was not aware that Airbnb had deducted/charged the booking amount from me and said he hadn't ever received any amount from Airbnb and asked me to pay again in cash. Then even though Sanjay had accepted my request for the stay, he refused me the stay at his accommodation, as the place was double booked already. Sanjay also didn't cancel the booking from his side. So I was charged the entire amount, even though I didn't get to stay. Sanjay did arrange for alternate stay at a hotel, but I had to pay almost 4 times the amount at the hotel (than his bnb price) even after I had also paid through Airbnb. So it was a very uncomfortable and expensive proposition to interact with Sanjay. It was also unethical on his part to back out, even after accepting my request for the stay.
