Marolyn and Stephen were both incredible kind and breakfast was outstanding. There were quite a few cats and kittens in the shared spaces when I was there so if cats are a “no” for you, this will not be your place. However, if you are looking for a nice quiet room with kind people this is it!

Marolyn & her son, Steve, are very personable people, always happy to chat, but also respectful of privacy for their guests. Steve is a great cook & plays piano. Marilyn is a published mystery writer, whose work utilized her background as a legal secretary in one Washington, DC’s largest law firms. Both Steve & his mother Marolyn love cats, so this isn’t a place for those who are allergic. (The cats are shut off from the guest quarters.) There are restaurants & fun shops close by & an excellent grocery store. Wineries abound in the area, & a little driving will take you to Miranda Cheese Company in Waterloo. Belhurst Castle, about 15 minutes away, has a day spa & the Stonecutters restaurant with outside seating for wonderful lake views in warm weather. Historic Seneca Falls is a 20 minute drive, where you can visit the site of the Women’s Suffrage Convention. My week-long visit went by too quickly!

Marolyn and her son were gracious hosts and the they went out of their way to make us @ home & provided us with a scrumptious breakfast; just keep in mind you need to be a cat lover as they have quite a few

We had a lovely stay with Marolyn and Stephen! By the end of our trip, their home really felt like our home. Their house was very welcoming, homey, charming, and comfortable. Marolyn and Stephen were friendly, funny, personable, and overall great company. I loved chatting with them during breakfast, it was such a pleasant and interesting start to the day. The breakfast itself was different every day but always delicious, and they were able to accommodate for my allergens. Their cats were super adorable and fun to play with. Stephen also kindly offered to drop us off at our dinner reservation in the Rolls Royce, it was really generous! The experience was very rewarding in the interactions we had with the hosts. Overall, we had an incredible stay here and I highly recommend it to someone looking to have a unique yet relaxing Airbnb experience in Geneva. Would not recommend to someone looking to have an interaction-free stay, or doesn’t like cats.

Marilyn’s place was perfect for our needs. We were able to check in a bit early and get to our Saturday events in Canandaigua easily. We enjoyed the beauty of her home and happily listen to her and Steve’s stories and history of the home during our tour. Breakfast on Sunday morning was delicious and we appreciated the laid back, leisurely start to the day with stimulating conversation. The cats also made us feel at home as we always miss ours when we travel. We would not hesitate to stay again. Thank you!
