Great cottage in a lovely location

We had a great time at the property. The cottage was clean, nicely furnished and equipped, quiet and it was very easy to park. Central heating and the fireplace meant it was very warm, with lots of hot water, which was welcome. We were a party of 3, and there would be plenty of space for more.

What a great cottage! Excellent location for exploring the Scottish Borders and only and hour from Edinburgh. Cottage was toasty warm and bigger than expected from the photos. We really enjoyed having the log fire each evening and recommend Seasons Borders restaurant just up the road. The walk over to Melrose is lovely and we saw otters playing. We’ll return for sure!

Loved our stay at Marr Cottage. The hosts, Ana & Peter, were welcoming and communicative, and we instantly felt at home on arrival. The cottage is quaint with modern touches, spacious and extremely cosy (felt even cosier considering we stayed in November!) and the location perfect (only a 15 minute walk over to Melrose where you'll find everything you need amenities wise) with amazing views over to the Eildon Hills. The cottage is also well equipped and we felt Ana & Peter had gone above and beyond to accommodate us, given that we have a 4 month old baby. Thank you - we would definitely stay again!
