Great space, beautiful location, very peaceful. Yet really easy to get into Amsterdam either by road or train. A road trip to Edam is certainly worthwhile. Would highly recommend and would go back and stay again. Norma is the perfect host, lovely lady who really cares about what she does.

Lovely hideaway! Are you looking for a cosy place surrounded by peaceful nature? If yes, Norma‘s „Fisherman‘s Home“ is the place to go. The place is very quiet, the entire place reflects the host‘s passion for maritime decoration, the terrace and garden are beautiful and it’s easy to get to Amsterdam or to the sea.

Norma oferuje bardzo sympatyczny kompaktowy domek wraz z kompaktowym ogródkiem. Ponieważ jesteśmy w Niderlandach, to oczywiście nad kanałem. Zgodnie z nazwą wystrój jest konsekwentnie rybacki: Nagraliśmy na miejscu ponad tuzin ptaków i zrobiliśmy zdjęcie czapli siwej w najbliższej okolicy. 10-15 min spacerem do jeziora, gdzie jest plaża, restauracja i obiekt do zabawy dla dzieci, gdzie chodzi się nad wodą. W domku jest abolutnie wszytko co potrzeba z zapasem. Norma błyskawicznie reaguje na wszystkie pytania, a na wejściu oferuje miłe powitanie, dla tych co lubią na słodko, jak i różowo wystawnie. ;) W sąsiednim miasteczku Abcoude polecamy supermarket PLUS Koot. W drugim AH Dokter: Uwaga! W 2023 roku oni wciąż nie akceptują kart kredytowych !

I had the pleasure of staying at Norma's place for about a week and it was one of the most charming, cozy, delightful Airbnb's I've ever stayed in. The home itself is decorated beautifully and thoughtfully; every detail matches the fisherman's theme - even down to the plates and cups in the cabinets. My favorite parts were the large outdoor space right on the canal, the fireplace, and the fuzzy robes! Norma was incredibly friendly, thoughtful, and proactive with her communications. She provided lots of great recommendations and even left us some chocolates and wine. The location is perfect for if you want too see Amsterdam, Zaanse Schans, Volendam, and other Netherlands highlights while still feeling quiet, peaceful, and homey. 1000% recommend this place!

Norma is by far the best host i have ever had the pleasure to meet. There was nothing Norma was not happy to do and we got little gifts which for me was lovely :-). I loved the place as a fisherman it was very cosy and warm. We have been with Norma for almost two months and i was very sad to leave. I was miss the notes on the chalk board "Welcome Aldo and Friend" just so genuine and lovely. I look forward to staying again in the future. Lots of love and wishes to Norma
