Had a really lovely stay with Claire, she is super nice and knows everything about Barbuda so can give you many tips. Also a great chef. The house has a beautiful garden and a porch to sit down an relax. Totally recommended!
Claire and her family have extensive knowledge on Barbuda and Barbudan history, and Claire was very accommodating and helpful, and she gave me great advice on where to go and who to talk to. I can definitely recommend a stay with Claire.
A visit to Barbuda is more than a holiday. You are immersed in a landscape which is the product of a distinctive agricultural and political heritage more than three hundred years old. Add that to the miles and miles of pristine unoccupied beaches and the distinctive fauna, a fleeting one day visit is not enough. Claire and her family are wonderful hosts and are well set up to ensure you get the most out of your Barbudan experience.
Art Cafe is a wonderful rustic friendly family home. The whole family is absolutely amazing, kind, hard workers, and fun to be with. The home is simple and practical and very clean . Asha and Fy, the 2 sisters and daughters of Claire are absolutely 2 beautiful strong women and always there to help you with whatever you need. Then there’s King, Fy’s partner, a nice young man that spent lots of time with my 14 year old son, and their beautiful little toddler girl Ava🥰 was the sugar on top of our vacation🤣 she’s too funny and adorable! Mr Mackenzie (Dad), very nice quiet layback man, but I guess he had no choice but to talk to me quite often, because I talk too much🤣 overall, wonderful place, wonderful family, wonderful home, wonderful Barbuda! The only thing I would do different next time is, skip Antigua and go straight to Barbuda!! Definitely going back💝
It was really nice to live these three days with Claire's family and her so-sweet granddaughter. Her daughters were very nice and helpful. We may not have been very lucky with the weather. As it can happen the rainy season, it had lately rained a lot and swarms of sandflies (yenyens in French Antilles) came in the house at night and gave us a hard time sleeping.
