I don't usually write reviews, but I feel compelled to caution other travelers considering staying here, especially given the high rates. Harry's Cottage is located next to the ferry terminal, so there is constant traffic noise and commotion throughout the day. At night, the area becomes pitch black and feels unsafe. We saw a man lurking around the cottages with a flashlight, and with the windows not locking properly, it felt insecure. The on-site bar was only open for 2 hours in the evening and does not serve food. Nobu restaurant is over an hour's walk down a rugged dirt road - you can't follow the beach route since it's all rocks. The nearest dining option is a 45-minute walk down the same path. Taxis on the island are expensive, ranging from $60-$140 USD for a 15-minute ride depending on the driver. The host was unaware of our arrival. The taxi driver mentioned a couple who had to wait 2 hours last week for the host to show up. WI-FI was unable in the cottage.

Conveniently located right near the ferry terminal and about halfway between the village and the beaches on the south side. But it’s also right across from the sand mine and next to the desalination plant. Just be aware of that. The beach right in front of the cottage is beautiful. I think it’s a good value and the host Gwen is wonderful. She was very nice and took great care of me.

250USD for a room with no AC, no water, located on the beach but also next to the ferry dock, a little swamp, a desalination plant and a sandmining storage facility… it might be a bit much. But the host on site was very nice and welcoming. The rooms are clean and pretty.
