Christopher was a great host for our needs. very laid back and accomadating. millions of stars could be seen at night, being away city. definitly a relaxing spot!!

Christopher is a warm and gracious host. One morning, he served my friend and me a genuine farmer's breakfast, with eggs from his hens. He also has spearmint plants galore (for spearmint tea) and gave me some to plant on my city balcony. That said, conditions are primitive. The upstairs "apartment" is really two basic bedrooms and a bathroom, with no door to separate it from the rest of the house.. There is no a/c, and the last day of our two night stay, the water pump developed an air pocket, so we had no running water for about two hours. The toilet was dirty, with a brown stain on the bottom. In short, I felt like I was camping, only doing it indoors. Given all that, we did enjoy our stay by focusing on the positives, including a delightful nearby waterfall/swimming hole, and by me doing my bathroom stuff - shaving etc. - in the bathroom of a restaurant/hotel. If Christopher upgrades his venue, it would be a great place. But right now, he is a great host - with a so-so guest quarters.

The place was absolutely charming, located in a huge farm with plenty of space for us to roam and explore. This was perfect for us city-dwellers, trying to find some peace and quiet. There was a fire pit outside and plenty of firewood, which we made full use of. The bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and well-maintained. Christopher was a very gracious and friendly host, always making himself available whenever we needed anything. He also have two lovely dogs and some other farm animals as pets, which were a total delight. We also had the pleasure to meet some of Chris's friends, who were all so laid back and fun to hang out with. Also, we forgetfully left a jacket behind and Chris graciously offered to mail it back to us. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a getaway in the country.
