The pictures don't really do justice to this home. It was like staying in a museum, except you are encouraged to touch/experience everything. The staff are great, and the dinners they made were some of the best meals we had in Morocco. The rooftop terrace is large and comfortable and has shading from the sun to make it usable all day. Others mentioned the stairs - they are no joke, so be aware of that. It's an old home with all the quirks that come with that, but overall a very, very nice place to stay. Highly recommended.

This is a breathtaking place! We loved everything about it, and are so grateful for the stay: it truly enhanced our experience of Fez. Be prepared to be blown away by the space, the architecture, the tasteful decor, the peacefulness, the food, and the staff. It was simply a perfect destination for our discovery of Morocco. We travel a lot (33 places booked on Airbnb, and that is not to count all the boutique hotels) and this is our favorite so far. Thank you, Clare, Zahrae, Hasna & Salma!

We enjoyed staying at Dar Alexander very much, and recommend it to others staying in the Fes Medina. Clare was excellent leading into our stay in terms of arranging some things in advance, and helping communicate with the staff. Zahra was an outstanding host for the Riad - she speaks English fluently, is a Fes local and knows the city, culture and people well, and was responsive and helpful throughout our stay. The Riad itself was precisely as described, we loved the rooms and roof deck, and it did mask a good bit of the street noise at night. The breakfasts were good, and we had them make us a traditional dinner one evening, including a few dietary restrictions we have, and the food was delicious. A wonderful experience and stay all around.

The riad was amazing! My wife and I had the whole riad to ourselves. It was an extraordinary experience staying in a place with so much history and details. Clare's team was amazing - special shoutout to Zahrae who helped us arrange our arrival and departure as well as give us advice on how to navigate Fes and the best places to shop and eat.

The most beautiful house in an amazing location. The whole team were incredibly helpful and responsive and catered to our special requests (gluten free options at breakfast) We loved everything about our stay and all of us wished we were staying longer.
