If this place is available you must book it immediately! Our stay was absolutely incredible and the most memorable from our 2 months in NZ. Al and CJ are truly amazing hosts who make you feel right at home. The accommodation is wonderful with everything you need, comfy bed, private, good shower pressure, and all the basic kitchen supplies. The location is in our opinion the best in the bay of islands as it’s in a protected bay which means calmer waters, peace and quiet, and only a 15 min paddle into town or a 10 min drive. The water is also very clear, we even had a mantaray greet us on our last morning. Finally CJ and Al are absolute gems - truly one of a kind people that go out of their way to share their bit of paradise with you and make sure you have the most memorable stay.

Our couple of days staying at the Polynesian Beach Loft was everything we had hoped for… stunning views, beach access, peaceful, private, great location… Albie and CJ were friendly, welcoming hosts and their accommodation was spotless and just as described. We enjoyed watching the resident kereru from the balcony. We could easily have enjoyed another couple of days and might have been able to give paddling a try.

Albie and CJ’s place is stylish, comfortable and more importantly set on a stunning property with an oasis of tropical gardens and a short stroll down to a privately accessed beach. We had been travelling for several days already and it wasn’t until we arrived there with our 20 month old that we truly felt relaxed. We spent every morning and afternoon at the beach at the bottom of the property (easily warm enough to swim even though it was April), where you can enjoy making use of the paddle boards and kayaks too. Albie and CJ were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. We just wish we had more time there. Can’t recommend this place enough. Was definitely the highlight of our trip!

We had such a wonderful week here! The place was spotless, the bed is comfortable, the view is amazing and the hosts are the BEST!! We loved using the paddleboards and even paddled to Russell for coffee one morning. Our best day though was the boat ride through the Bay of Islands with Cindy and Al! They made us feel very welcome and I feel like we made new friends!! Thanks for everything!!😊
