A beautiful cottage in a peaceful area with a gorgeous sunrise. Catherine is a wonderful host with good local recommendations and took care to stock the kitchen with all the essentials. Would recommend to anyone looking for some relaxing downtime!

Catherine’s place is just what we needed to escape the buzz of the touristed areas of the southlands. The guest house has wonderful views and is near cows and deer that were just what we were looking for. Catherine was an incredibly kind host. We were warmly welcomed and felt right at home. The dog Max was a handsome gentleman. We can’t express how lovely it was to chat with Catherine and Paul. They were so generous and kind. They were the BEST hosts we had on our trip out of 14 different Airbnbs.

A gorgeous little retreat in an idyllic rural setting. The cottage is cozy, private, well equipped and has a stunning view from the kitchen sink! We found this a perfect base for exploring Fiordland and Milford Sound, with the town of Te Anau close enough for a good coffee and delicious dinner. Be sure to visit the bird sanctuary for an insight into the unique birdlife of this part of the world - they do important work. Thank you Catherine for your warm hospitality, we hope to be back!

Had a wonderful 3 night stay at Catherines. The cottage was beautifully clean & modern with everything you needed plus more with the prettiest views. Catherine really thought about what might be needed right down to raincoats. Friendly & thoughtful hosts
