Beautiful location and surrounds, far enough but not far out of Te Anau. Outdoor spa was fab. Unfortunately the indoor spa bath was out of order (seemingly ongoing) as was the fireplace (temporarily as needing a clean) and these were two of the three reasons why we booked the accommodation (the other being animals). Helen was overseas during our check in and while we still had a polite check in experience, we felt some info was missing regarding whether/what/when we could feed animals, if we were free to walk around, whether we could knock on the door for assistance, how to access outdoor spa, etc. DIY breakfast with homebaked bread was a really nice touch. We did eventually find someone to ask about feeding the animals which really added to our experience, and when Helen was back she organised a pony ride for our toddler. Some basic toys, books, sandpit and swing for kids. Beautiful soft and warm bedding and a heater for warmth. Overall a good stay but we were confused at the start.

What an amazing place to stay, we loved the surroundings and the stars at night. Helen was so friendly and welcoming; the view and location was perfect.

The chalet is awesome. It is located 5 mins outside of Te Anau. It us a short walk or bike ride to the river and local hiling tracts. She dropped us freash bread and had some milk and juice in the fridge upon arrival.

We had a splendid stay at Helen’s beautiful home. On top of being a beautiful space in the most idyllic farm surrounded by mountain views, they consistently went the extra mile even baking us fresh bread. We’d be excited to come back!
