Kopila, Rabi and Krishna are lovely and friendly hosts. We very much enjoyed our stay and their hospitality was very kind and unexpected. They also respected our privacy as we had our own plans for the stay. The apartment itself has everything needed, though it is a little basic in terms of comfort (no sofa and the beds are a bit low and firm and not the most comfortable for us). The apartment is very spacious but feels like it could do with a little modernising for comfort for western tourists. If you need to use the toilet in the night it is not very practical with the toilet being located at the back of the property. As it is a solar powered shower, hot showers are not guaranteed depending on the weather. The location is good in being close to Thamel, though it is quite a noisy area and on a busy street. Barking dogs were a problem at night, but I think that is a problem across Kathmandu generally! Overall it was good value for money. Thank you for having us!

Kopila and her husband were 1st class, responsive hosts. Schedule airport pickup with them easily and paid usd$12 vs usd$6-7 it by taxi but taxi might have gotten lost as Kathmandu streets and buildings have poor.signage. Unit was as.described except it was above a store and on busy street, where opening & closing of shutters and gates of below/nearby businesses are heard at 5am or late at night. Also had very loud crazy dogs barking almost every night at 2-4am. There are approx. 10 steps to climb to get to the unit, which is not a big deal unless you had people with back/hip problems. The only other inconvenience for us was having to lock/unlock the front, inside & unit gates plus unit door. The daily drill in/out with 1 set of keys got tedious. Wanted to provide this in review as these might affect comfort of stay for small group. Very sweet owners Mr Krishna and his wife lived upstairs. Rooftop balcony nice! Kopila and Rabi served us breakfast 1st day, super friendly hosts.

A fabulous stay. Kopila and Robbie were friendly, responsive, kind, and helpful, and invited me to join them for dinner (or breakfast) at the beginning and end of my four-week stay. And Krishna, who owns the building and lives upstairs, was also kind and friendly, and brought me tea several times. The apartment itself is clean, spacious, and comfortable, and I appreciated that it was decorated like a Nepali home rather than trying to be Westernized. The wifi worked well for me, other than those times when Kathmandu's power grid cut out (usually for less than half an hour). I enjoyed the location -- near Thamel and close enough to easily walk, but in a neighborhood of Nepali families. All in all, it was an outstanding choice -- I highly recommend it.

The host and family were very kind. Everything was good but was told AC wasn’t working. But other than that we enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect for walking to attractions.
