My family and I had a very comfortable stay at Jamie’s A-frame. The cabin is very kid friendly and it was nice to have a fully furnished kitchen. We also made good use of a very nearby park with a playground in the neighborhood.

Jamie was great with communication, clear instructions, access to lots of resources about the area in a big binder. We went there for the eclipse and there was a very thoughtful note about the best deck to use to watch it. Kids loved the collection of children’s books and playing hide and seek in the cabin. The lake is beautiful and quiet and only a very short walk with a playground and picnic tables, a godsend for parents of young children. Clark mountain is so close and a perfect little peak for kids. Just a really great cabin in a really great area of the Adirondacks for a family.

Ma compagne et moi avons adoré le logement et l'emplacement. la maison de Jamie est authentique des adirondaks et on s'y sent de suite comme chez nous. de plus de nombreux sentiers de randonnées sont proches et la possibilité d'accéder a la rivière rapidement a été un plus pour moi qui suit pécheur.Nous recommandons ce logement pour les amoureux de nature!

Went here with a few of my friends for our spring break and it was absolutely perfect. There’s so much to do in lake placid and after you’re done with your day there’s nothing better than coming back to The A at Jay. The cabin was super cozy and had a bunch of fun board games to play with your friends or family.

Our stay was great! Jamie had all the details prepared and printed for reference. The kitchen was well equipped and even had everything we needed. It was so enjoyable to have fired in the stove and just enjoy the peace and quiet. We can’t wait to schedule another visit to the region and use this as a home base.
