We had an absolutely perfect stay here celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary with our four adult children, two partners and our 8 month old grandchild.  Mona was a wonderful host - she met us at the port and gave us all the information we needed for a comfortable stay.  The meal that she cooked for us was absolutely delicious, and plentiful!  The house itself is just incredible!!  It's like walking into another world.   The design of the house is outstanding and it's spotless and extremely well equipped.   We would have been happy to stay at the house all week but Kea has just the right amount on offer if you want a change of scenery: plenty of good supermarkets and tavernas, beautiful beaches,  the port town and the stunning main town, as well as good roads if you want to get out and explore.  If, like us, you want to completely unwind after a visit to Athens, this is the perfect place. The 3km long road to the villa is unmade and you definitely need a capable car!!  If you hire one, make sure you get the full insurance so that you don't have to worry about chipping the paint work etc.

Un très très grand merci à Maria pour l’accueil et ce séjour incroyable que nous avons passé La maison est superbe avec une des plus belles vues qui m’aient été donnée de voir depuis une maison On a eu le souffle coupé ! Un très grand merci à Mona qui a été parfaite 👍 Elle nous a préparé là meilleure moussaka du monde, je vous suggère de lui demander de vous préparer son dîner grec 😋😋😋 J’espère que nous reviendrons un jour pour revoir tout ça. Un grand bravo 👏👏👏

Well, what to say.. Kea is a beautiful island, very authentic, wild and where mainly tourists are Greek. So I truelly recommend it who seeks for a quiet and not too turistic destination. The house of Maria is in a perfect position: it is like 8 minutes from Korissa that is this tiny and characteristic port of Kea, so you will find anything there in case of any emergency (supermarket that closed at 23 pm, bakery, pharmacy and, naturally, cafe’ and restaurants. The house is situated in Melissaki village that has few neighbouring houses and the atmosphere is very silent and peaceful, exposed westwards, so amazing sunsets are assured. The house is equipped with everything you might need. As everyday we went to visit different beaches, in one week stay we went out just a couple times out for dinner. We just felt so good being at home!.. I would consider to rent a jeep or something like that as most of the most beautiful beaches you can reach on the roads that are not asphaltated. Maria was a great host helping with any question I had, meanwhile Mona, the housekeeper, was always available: in the morning, late in the evening, as we were 2 families with children,8 persons, so at least at the begining we needed assistance and she was always there to help. I truelly hope to come back again and I would definetely be happy to come back to Maria’s place!..
