I visited the Writers Cabin a month while studying at Cambridge, and had a lovely stay. Ben and Sophie were kind enough to lend me their bike during my stay, which made getting around incredibly easy. The property is very cosy, and an easy 15-minute bike round from town. You will enjoy silence, picturesque surroundings, and many visits from the local wildlife. I even enjoyed a few visits from reindeer calves during my stay! Highly recommend to all.

I had a lovely six-week stay— half solo, half with my partner — in Ben and Sophie's peaceful Writer's Cabin. I loved being surrounded by the green, wild garden, filled with apple blossom scent. We had such deep sleeps in the cosy king bed — and delighted in watching the garden and the animal visitors when we awoke. The kitchen setup was simple but functional for us — we aren't big cooks. And the radiator heat kept us warm in the November cold. A big favorite was the nearby footpath that took us straight into Cambridge — a perfect way to have 45-60 minutes of exercise. Having that combination of rural relaxation and access to a cultural university town was a wonderful balance. In terms of hosting, Ben and Sophie were warm, engaging, and responsive — without being imposing in any way. My only regret is that I didn't have warmer weather to enjoy sitting on the swing bench on the porch — which must be a treat. Thank you again for a lovely visit.

We had a lovely weekend stay at the cabin. Sophie was so helpful and gave us lots of tips of things to do during our weekend. She was available for any questions we had and provided lovely breakfast bits for us at the cabin and even a little birthday cake as she knew it was my girlfriends birthday. Would 100% recommend.

I really enjoyed my stay at Ben's Cabin. It's a lovely space in a huge and quiet garden with lots of wildlife (during my stay I saw foxes, rabbits, deer, and birds in addition to Ben's own animals). The Cabin comes with everything you could possibly need and it was exactly as described. Check-in, communication, cleanliness, and hospitality could not have been better! One can easily cycle to Cambridge City Centre in about 10-15 minutes and Ben was kind enough to lend me a bike for the duration of my stay.
