Special historical appartement in the heart of charming Bologna. Monella was very kind host and we are grateful that we could stay here for 7 weeks. Little bit of repair work would make it even nicer: laundry machine was stuck on 30 degrees, sofas were either shaky or not that comfortable, kitchen tab could be fixed. Despite these kind of little things we really enjoyed our stay in this personal and airy, lovely home away from home.

We had a lovely stay at Monella’s. It was ideal for a short visit. We appreciated lying in bed beneath the frescos. All necessary amenities, including several coffee machines, were there. The shower was good. The location was unbeatable. Monella’s partner gave us good recommendations for wine bars. A terrific place to stay!

We had the most fantastic stay at this Airbnb. For the first few nights I was solo and felt safe in the neighborhood as a female traveler who doesn’t speak the language and in Bologna for the first time. The building was easy to access and the keys were easy to use. The apartment itself was even more beautiful than the pictures and I felt like I was staying in history. I would stay here again. Just make sure that you’re comfortable climbing up the stairs to the loft!

This apartment does not disappoint! The frescos on the ceiling make it feel like you’re staying in a Renaissance painting, which really adds to the experience of staying in Bologna. The stairs to the loft are quite steep, so definitely not for anyone with mobility issues. The location is great, you can walk to anywhere in just a few minutes, but still a quiet street. A great place if you plan to be out in Bologna a lot - the bed is very comfy but the other furniture is quite bare bones. Would definitely recommend!
