Pittsburgh · 整套民居 · 1室1床1.0卫 · 可住2人 · Cozy studio apartment, private entrance + porch
This cozy, private basement apartment is located on the tippy top of Pittsburgh's North Side in a neighborhood called Spring Hill. Hello incredible view! By car, you'll be minutes from downtown, the stadiums, incredible restaurants, concert venues, art museums and more! Enjoy your own entrance, porch, full bath, working area & kitchenette. Two sweet cats & one very cool kid live on the premises. We don't allow the cats in the room but you may find them lounging on the back porch. The space has been renovated, along with the rest of the house, over the last 3-5 years with love. Most appliances & features are brand new. You may hear the bustle of household operations overhead with a couple cats and a school age kiddo on board. There is one door that leads to the rest of the house. This door remains locked for the duration of your visit so you can enjoy a completely private stay. We have a large backyard (it used to be a clay tennis court!) where you might find us and a couple neighbors--this yard is the only shared space. It has an incredible view that you will not want to miss!
We had an amazing time. It was super peaceful and amazing our quick one night stay. Also an amazing perk was that we got to see the cats🥰
We had a great one night stay! We came to Pittsburgh to visit our cousin and do college tours for my son. We were in driving distance to Duquesne and Pitt. The host was responsive and the photos looked like the place.
I rarely ever travel alone so I was a little nervous. On arrival the views were absolutely breathtaking. The apartment was so cozy, clean and welcoming. The instructions on getting inside were thorough and on point. I always wake up at 7am, which I did but then closed my eyes and next thing I knew it was 915 am ! So comfortable- YES !!! I messaged and asked for an extra half hour for check out and received an immediate response YES ! I would definitely stay here again if heading back to Pittsburgh!
This is historically and presently a working class neighborhood. From 1895 to the early 1970s, the hills around downtown Pittsburgh were where steel workers lived. They would climb the hundreds of staircases built into the hills to and from work each day. Spring Hill remains a neighborhood of the working class with an unrivaled, panoramic view of the steel city. Our neighborhood is home to some of the friendliest neighbors you'll ever meet. It is economically, generationally and racially diverse and we love it here.
Free parking on premises for one vehicle. We live at the very top of a sweet neighborhood called Spring Hill. To get in and out of the neighborhood and into the city of Pittsburgh, a car is easiest though there are public bus options if needed.
Map apps will most likely direct you to take a right out of the driveway to head up the hill to get to the city. We recommend taking a left out the driveway, right at the bottom of the hill, taking a left one block up at Lappe Lane and then letting map apps take it from there. Little more scenic and less turns on tight roads.
You will not want to miss walking to the top of St. John's Lutheran Cemetery (5 min walk) for the most spectacular view of the city at sunset or sunrise. It's breathtaking. Message us for best way to get there! Maps apps will take you the long way around.
