We had a wonderful stay at Spruce lodge! Maureen was a fantastic host with a beautiful home. The place is spotless and very homely. We had a very long drive from Belfast and the weather was miserable so it was a lovely gesture by Maureen to give us access to an extra room and light the fire in advance of our arrival. The kitchen was fully stocked beyond what you would expect, which is a demonstration of Maureen’s kindness and generosity. Super bathroom with a large free standing bath is another bonus. All in all a wonderful stay and we will definitely be back if staying in the area again. Thank you Maureen 😊

mauren's house was simply beautiful! She filled the fridge for us to eat breakfast both mornings , rashers,sausages,eggs, milk, juice, butter, and bread with all the accompaniments. She even had a moka pot for coffee,very thoughtful ,had a fire going for us when we arrived. Arrived to her greating us. She jad a clawfoot tub that was to die for! I have to say by far the best air b&b we have stayed in . The suite we stayed in was actually her home at one time. It felt like we were her family. The morning we left she even invited us into her other home which was stunning. I would absolutely stay there again and highly reccommend her home.

I recently stayed in Maureen’s with my husband and 3 children. The place was perfect when we arrived. Maureen had very thoughtfully left out age appropriate toys and books for my children, which they were delighted with. I would highly recommend.

I cannot recommend staying with Maureen enough. She takes so much pride in her home and the space reflects the time and effort put into it. Maureen was the most accommodating and generous host we have stayed with. We visited in December and the house was not only warm but also beautifully decorated which made us feel right at home when travelling over the holidays. The house was stocked with necessities and comfort items, and only a short drive to Bandon and the popular costal towns. If you are in the area, do not pass up the chance to stay!

To say Maureen went above and beyond as a host is an understatement. For my wife's birthday she surprised us with an immaculately decorated warm HUGE extra room attached to the space with a Christmas tree, roaring fire in the wood stove, and piles of toys and books for our daughter. She even had a lovely gift bag full of goodies with a card for my wife. The kitchen was stocked with SO many goodies, juices, cereals, milk, toast, waffles, you name it. The beds were warm and comfortable, the shower had amazing water pressure and stayed hot forever. She gave us suggestions on what to do and where to go and answered every question promptly. The house is beautiful with amazing high ceilings and lovely details everywhere you look. My wife also really enjoyed the generously sized claw foot bathtub with heater positioned perfectly overhead. Book a stay with Maureen. You won't regret it.
