Muna was a great host, the staff really friendly and helpful. We booked our Safari through Muna it was very organised a great day out. There’s plenty to do the location is perfect, walking distance up to the market and temples, we highly recommend a trip to the Puja- look out for the traditional coconut cracking, The property is beautiful, it has a bohemian vibe, set in what feels like the heart of the jungle right next to the river. Big trees and animals everywhere. We had home cooked dinner and breakfast which we loved, good traditional Sri Lankan flavours. We would highly recommend booking this place for at least 2 nights.

We loved our stay at Gem River Edge! Muna & the team were very accommodating & friendly. The setting is so peaceful & tranquil. The rooms are spacious & clean, with lots of character and nicely decorated to fit the surroundings. They gave us lots of local recommendations, including borrowing bicycles and being shown the local lake & scenery at sunset (so beautiful!) We were also there for the Kataragama full moon harvest festival that Muna told us about, which was a fantastic local experience. We booked the Yala safari tour with the GRE team too, our driver was very friendly & knowledgeable. Overall, would highly recommend! Thank you for having us stay

Great place to stay of you want to visit Yala. It's a great spot for nature lovers. it's located next to a (sacred) river in which you can swim. Know that it is an eco lodge. That means frogs in the bathroom and iguanas in the yard. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Served us some fresh drinks and a fine dinner. Would recommend.

Notre séjour chez Muna était génial ! Le logement est proche du centre de Kataragama où l'on peut visiter des temples. La chambre et la salle de bain étaient propres et spacieuses. Le logement donne accès à la rivière où l'on peut se baigner. Nous avons mangé sur place : les repas sont excellents ! Muna nous a régulièrement proposé des boissons chaudes (thé, café) ou fraîches (jus de citron) pendant notre séjour. Muna nous a organisé un safari au parc national de Yala : c'était fantastique ! Il nous a aussi aidé à trouver un taxi pour la suite de notre itinéraire. Nous recommandons vivement ce logement !

We stayed at Munas Place for a tour through Yala Nationalpark. The Safari he organised was amazing. We saw several animals and even zwo leppards. The rooms were very natural as descripted with lots of mosquitos and a frog living in our bathroom. We stayed two nights for the safari which was perfektly fine this way. But i would not have felt comfortable staying loonger than That.
