The Cottage on the Mountain was a first class Airbnb experience. The location, view, attention to every detail and super comfortable bed were just a few highlights. I highly recommend Howard's place for a visit to Trail or Rossland. It would be the perfect romantic couples getaway. Loved the easy access to the Columbia trail and enjoyed some beautiful walks. I'd visit Howard's Cottage again in a heartbeat. Thanks for a wonderful stay 💐

What a cute space- the photos don’t do it justice! This historic home has a great mix of vintage touches and modern amenities. We very much appreciated the quality touches such as elevated haircare products, a lovely vintage bathtub, real cookware in the kitchen, and a supremely comfortable bed. Even though the house itself seems to be nearly 100 years old, it was surprisingly warm and comfortable dying our early March stay. We didn’t spend much time in Trail itself, but this space served as a great home base for trips to ski at Red Mountain and a scenic drive around Nelson.

Howard's attention and service was amazing, and he is certainly a superhost. We really enjoyed the beautiful primar bedroom which included a memory foam underbed and a darling feather comforter. The kitchen included a convenient dishwasher, a pristine oven, and a breakfast table with a view (both the Columbia River, Trial, and Red Mountain slopes in the distance.

This little mountain cottage was a home away from home! Quaint and sweet, cozy and comfortable, it provided everything we needed for a few days on the slopes. It’s about 15 mins drive to Red and close to all necessary shops in town. Some pretty walks along the river and nice views add to the peaceful natured of your stay. Thanks for the great communication and the simple, clear check-in and check-out!
