We could not have been any happier with the "Nest" as Mary calls it. What an incredible place to stay and wonderful people. Just beyond words what a wonderful welcoming place to stay. I don't think there is a single thing that could have been better. Very easy to get to VIR. We hope to stay there again and have more time to just enjoy one of the best sunrise views I have ever seen. So greatful to their wonderful hospitality. THANK YOU!!!

We selected the Windy Hero House because it is convenient to the Virginia International Raceway but on a beautiful lakeside location. The apartment is absolutely huge. It was and was recently built out and all of the furniture and fixtures are very new. The hosts, Mary and James have thoughtfully stocked it with everything you could possibly need. A distinct pride of ownership shows in how pristine the property is inside and out. We will definitely stay here again!

I recently had the pleasure of spending the Fourth of July weekend at Mary's Lakeside Guest House, The Nest, and I must say it was a delightful experience filled with comforts and serene lakeside charm. Nestled amidst Hyco Lake, this lakeside retreat provided the perfect backdrop for a memorable holiday celebration for my family. The guest house itself was a haven for a family! Tastefully decorated rooms, cozy beds, and functional for daily chores, like lake laundry! There's also an outdoor shower and grill area that make for total convenience for cooking and rinsing off. I will also say that the boat dock is upscale and a perfect place to hang out, with shade and outdoor furniture. Have small kids and need a zero-entry area for them to swim? There's a beach section with loungers! We will return to the Nest!

Mary’s place is a very nice and private place to stay. We really enjoyed it and will stay there again.

Beautiful location, and so peaceful! We were very pleased with the space; it was much larger than expected.
