Had a great time on Adak. Cory had someone meet us at the airport and we followed them to our Airbnb, which was very helpful since so many of the houses look the same.

This place is really great! Clean rooms, friendly service, and very good amenities, especially the internet. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants a cozy stay in Adak.

Great value lodging for larger group, local host (Burke) is fantastically helpful and friendly. Unit did not match listing, but we ended up with a larger townhouse with all the amenities a group of hunters and adventurers need. Vehicle rental, communication, and coordination were all simple and straightforward. I will gladly book again with Aleutian Outfitters.

Before the owner has the chase to say something like “well it’s Adak.” I grew up in Unalaska-Dutch harbor before moving and graduating in Bethel, so I know what “Bush life” is. There is nothing good I can say about this house or the company that owns and operates it, and many others on the island. Communication was ZERO, we sent multiple messages via text and Air BnB message with no reply. Cleanliness, was a ZERO! We had to strip the bedding and wash it before we could go to bed because each and every bed was filthy with dirt on top of sheets, and under the sheets. Health wise, the bathroom was filled with black mold, there were literally huge fungi growing on the floor in the bathroom because the tub leaked so badly every time a person used the shower, and it had been happing for so long you could see black mold all over the base of the walls. The living room and kitchen counters and tables were as no one had wiped them down in months. Thankfully we were able to meet the owner of a different rental and guide service and he and his wife, after showing them picks of the bathroom fungi, let us stay at one of their rentals for free. Lastly, when we first landed at the airport and other company’s were meeting their lodging guest, I asked how to find the company that rented us our house, the reply was the same from each person, “good luck with those guys.” Definitely a RED flag, next after talking with the locals, this company is such a black-eye on the community, that no one recommends or does business with them. With a town of 50 residents, and they all despise you and your company, that says so much! There are two other rental companies in Adak, and either is more clear, better communication and at least respected amongst the local community.
