Annie’s place was very easy to find. About 1/2 mile from the main road into Cahuita, it had a large entrance gate with parking within the property. Annie was immediately there to welcome us. As you get out of your car you walk into a partly covered patio facing the entrance (beautiful vegetation is everywhere). When you walk in, the kitchen is to the right. Past that is the downstairs bathroom, and the 2nd bedroom. At the base of the stairs are living and dining rooms. Floors are wood and tile. When you walk upstairs, you enter a big unused landing. Farther in is the master bedroom, shelving/closet area. Then the master bathroom. It’s a comfortable house. The humidity can be a bit much in April, but if you seal the upstairs off, the air conditioner is very effective. I can’t say enough about Annie-she’s super smart, well-traveled and a lovely conversationalist. If you’re seeking wildlife tours, ask Annie to put you into touch with Carlos Mairena Cruz. A short and sweet stay at this special place! Lots of room and beautiful surroundings. Primary room is upstairs with strong AC unit, and a private bath. Great for a couple and our friend stayed on the main floor bedroom, which had fans. Everything was very clean! Annie went above and beyond by meeting us for check-in, walking us through the house to show us around and provided great local recommendations based on what we were looking to do! Very responsive and super helpful host! Thank you for letting us stay in your home, we had a great trip!

In all my travels, I haven’t found a more thoughtful and proactive host than Annie. She not only makes you feel right at home but also takes her time to make sure that entirely taken care of. She’s helpful, kind and very knowledgeable as well. Hope to see you in ten years when we return once the kids are older, take care Annie!

Annie was a such wonderful host. Her house is in a great location, easy to walk to town, the beach of the park. Her house has so much character and has just the right extra touches to make your stay comfortable. She was so helpful in helping us book transportation to the airport. She really went above and beyond. This is a great place to stay when visiting Cahuita.

It’s a really beautiful house in a classic Spanish architecture style with Caribbean touches. We loved the house and Annie was great.
