Beautiful cabin! We loved our stay here. The cabin is very spacious and clean. It's also great for group trips -- 5 of us went, and we each had our own bed. The surroundings are beautiful -- there was a tiny waterfall/stream behind the cabin, and we were surrounded by woods and fall leaves. Would 100% recommend!

Leslie, the owner, was very accommodating and communicative. The place is cozy and comfortable, without the "over-the-top" pretense of some more expensive rentals out there. No, you're not going to find $5,000 couches made of knotty birchwood or spacious tiled showers with three shower heads and heated floors. No, not every surface is covered in pseudo-rustic kitsch like some places in the area. The furniture is a mix...some is a little dated and worn; some seems very new. What you are going to find is a straightforward, comfortable, private place to enjoy peace and quiet well away from the hustle and bustle of Lake Placid. The house has new, mid-to-high-end appliances. The beds are very comfortable. Oh...and the beautiful fireplace was very well stocked with enough dry, high-quality firewood for our entire stay and then some. If you don't mind being some distance from Lake Placid and prioritize privacy over proximity, you'll love this property in Wilmington.
