My family stayed here last year, and when we planned another trip to Oregon, we knew we HAD to stay here again. We stayed for 3 weeks, and it was everything, if not more, than what it was last year. The hosts are so kind and welcoming. The cabin feels like home, with a rustic feel, yet some modern perks. Unfortunately, my husband had to work while there, but was able to do so smoothly with the WiFi connection. The property is quiet and peaceful, with a ton of things for the children to do: pond, swing, outside games, basketball, etc. We enjoyed fresh cherries, blueberries, and strawberries. Several mornings we woke up to see deer in the front yard, which my kids thought was absolutely amazing. Very country living, a great place to relax, and enjoy nature. I honestly can’t say enough about our experience, and we hope our next trip to Oregon, we’ll be able to enjoy the place again.

Vonnie and Dan have opened up their lovely home to share with everyone. The property was amazing. We floated around the pond with the newts and the little water skippers and tiny fishes on floaties provided. Perfect for the heat wave! They mowed grass around the house provided the perfect space for morning yoga. The birds and frogs were also a wonderful morning treat. The log cabin is wood everywhere inside including shake, which I have never seen before. It was extremely clean, which is no small feat and deserves recognition. Not even cobwebs!! The wildflowers and shrubs and mowed walking paths including out to a bench in the wide open to look over the valley were amazing. There is outdoor furniture, two covered decks facing different directions and a grill we intended on using, but didn’t get to it. Be aware that there is no AC in the cabin. We had windows open and fans running and minus the rare heat waves like this one, it would be perfect, I imagine. We were lucky to get to stay out on the property during this wave. Also be aware that the hide-a-bed is like all hide-a-beds and maybe best suited to younger folks. The other beds were all very comfy. Communication was amazing by both Vonnie and Dan. There were games to play, which we hope to do next time when we’re not driving back and forth to silver falls state park for wedding events. Thank you for opening your home to share with everyone. I can’t put into words, how amazing the cabin stay was. I have 2 kids, 9 and 7, and they loved every second of it. There was so much to do: swing on the tree swing, row around the pond, hikes, basketball, blueberry tasting, and the list continues. We loved how much it felt like home, like when we go to our family’s cabin. My husband had to work a couple days, and the WiFi worked well for him. The sunsets were gorgeous, the days we were there were heaven. We even started talking about another trip next summer, and hope we are able to.
