Easy check in is the best thing we can say about this unit. As soon as you opened the door you were greeted by an overwhelming musty, moldy odor. It was very difficultto tolerate. I sent a note to the host at 3am the night we got there to mention it as I hid out in the bathroom, the only room without a stench, even though it had mildew on the shower curtain liner. Mgmt response was it was due to the rain and being close to the beach. We all found that unacceptable as this unit is 1 mile from the beach and we all have literally rented places on the beach and have had rainy weather and never had an issue. I asked for a refund for 1 night (as we left a day early due to this) over 24 hours ago and no reply. That is unacceptable as well. With 6 renters, not 1 of us would recommend this unit and suggest it be removed from the market until repairs are made.

Stayed here for about 3 days in the third week of June. The house overall is quaint and nice. Fairly close to Scarborough beach which is one of the reasons we chose this home. Check in and out was very easy and the Host was more than helpful in responding to any questions we had before arriving to the property as well as checking in with us during out stay. All amenities listed were available to our use as needed. The only complaint that we had that seems to echo the other reviews is that there is musty like smell in the home. We realize that having a property a few streets away from the beach can cause some homes to have this mildewy stench but with the bedrooms in the basement/lower floor there is no way of avoiding the smell. We noticed that keeping the AC on the dry setting rather than cool helped slightly but the smell unfortunately still prevalent. Otherwise, we had a lovely time and loved the convenience of the location to everything, beach, restaurants, etc.

Just stayed there. I left the AC on the whole time as commented in other reviews, and the bedrooms are in the basement and are musty. Just have to live with it. The layout of the place is great and has everything you need (coffee and half and half, chocolates and zip lock bags are just great details). Bag of sand toys show they are thinking of the little things. Back yard was not in great shape and lots of poison Ivy. Overall, it’s an older, nice place to stay, great location and details.
