We went up for Memorial Day weekend and found plenty to do in the area around this cabin. It was exactly as described and had everything we needed for a weekend in northern WI and the U.P.
The listing description of a house located in the Northwoods was totally accurate and there are many opportunities in the nearby area for hiking, shopping and restaurants to visit. It was perfect and very relaxing 😎 for a sister retreat. Allison and John are great hosts!
We were pleasantly surprised at how private and secluded the house felt, and how well laid out things were. We loved the big kitchen with the counter and bar stools for prepping meals, and liked the open flow of the kitchen, dining room and living room. There was a nice entry way with plenty of space for jackets, shoes and outdoor gear. The location was perfect for day trips to Sylvania and the Ontonagon River - and we also enjoyed the back deck and the fire ring. Hosts were very responsive and friendly. We definitely hope to return next year!

Absolutely amazing place to stay lots to see and just breath taking views all around if you haven’t experienced the wilderness this is the best way to do it , the hosts are super welcoming and helpful and communicative

自我介绍
For many years John and I traveled to the Watersmeet, MI area to camp in the state and national parks, and snowmobile the many trails. Finally, we decided to purchase a small home to use any time of the year. Eventually we found what would become known to friends and family as the "Little House". The wooded property not only bordered the Ottawa National Forest, but it also provided easy access to the activities we enjoyed. From our location, we hiked the forest paths and walked along Duck Creek listening to the peaceful sound of water tumbling over rocks looking. We could jump onto the snowmobile trail with our sleds or ATV's. With the many lakes surrounding us, we could easily trailer the kayaks and fishing boat for leisurely days on the water. Several waterfalls are a short drive away. The location is semi-secluded, yet walking distance to town. Recently we bought a retirement home in the Watersmeet area, and have decided to share the comfort of our "Little House" and its central location with people such as you. It offers the opportunity to branch out in any direction to to take advantage of all Upper Peninsula has to offer. We hope you enjoy our home as much as we did.
