The cottage was exactly as described. We loved it (family of 3) just the right size remote, peacful and beautiful. Dan has magazines and computer print outs of lots of things to do, that are well worth the drive. We will be back next year!

Great little cabin. Perfect water access and nice dock for fishing. Beds were comfortable and space was adequate for what we needed! Great deal for the price!

“Cabin 1” on Big Lake is an authentic fishing cabin up north. The property was part of a resort with a main house and five little cabins at which my husband’s family vacationed for years in the 60s and 70s. We had a fantastic stay! A huge plus is the dock on Big Lake; the boat launch is only a few miles away. We fished every day and caught every species of fish besides a Muskie (but one was interested!) so a fish fry was a success on our last night. There were even cast iron skillets on hand for the fish and a pan of potatoes, onions and peppers. We slept like babies from being outside all day in the early spring cold. The cabin is old and let’s say it’s retro. We honestly appreciated the vibe. The housekeepers did a phenomenal job getting the cabin ready for us (we were the first occupants of the year) and everything was refreshed and clean. It’s small but 4 people would be a comfortable fit. Thank you to the owners for a great fishing trip!
