Very comfortable w/e in an immaculate and well appointed property. So close to Staithes yet out of the hustle and bustle with views across open countryside. Would definitely rebook.

Great place, with great facilities, in a lovely location. Owners great at check in and check out. Incorrect information given prior through booking agent Ingrid Flutes which meant location and hot tub was shared despite being told we would be the only people at the property. We did not find that this was not the case until arrival and as it was new years eve it was not possible to change or find alternative arrangements. We wanted an exclusive venue with a private hot tub and made the booking on that basis.

We had a lovely stay at the Tawny Owl. We loved the area and the close proximity to some beautiful local trips. There was clear communication from start to finish and a folder inside with everything you need to know. The Tawny Owl was spotless from top to bottom and clear the host has pride in their properties. The hottub was serviced every morning by the host which was great to know it was looked after properly. The property had almost everything that you would need to enjoy your trip with clean and well maintained facilities. A note to future guests that there was no basic cooking amenities such as oil, salt/pepper, sugar etc. I suspect this was because of COVID and the host was looking out for us, so bare that in mind and pack your own if needed. As the bigger property is a farm, it would also be wise to bring fly spray if they bother you indoors specifically during summer. Other than that, we enjoyed the hosts hospitality greatly and would recommend if wanting to explore the North-Eastern moorland.
