Hi there! I'm a Mother of two adult boys and we have an easy-going home in the heart of the Isle of Wight. I'm sociable, independent and pretty laid back. I have travelled a lot, have lived in several countries so tend to get on well with people from different countries as well as those who enjoy travelling too. I have lived in the Manor since August ‘17 after leaving 23 years in London behind where I also enjoyed being an Airbnb host enormously. When I moved here, I had so many enquiries about staying at our historical home that I decided to try Airbnb again and was so delighted by people's responses that I have done it ever since. I have even moved into hosting weddings after guests decided to become engaged in our gardens and who I couldn't say no to when they asked if they could also get married here! I welcome anyone who needs a place to revive, be it romantic or just a base from where to explore the island. If you are a history buff, our home would be a lot of fun for you as it has been around since before 872AD when it was first recorded in King Alfred the Great's Will, the first of the eight monarchs to own the Manor, and has a rather interesting history. We are nestled amongst the Downs so we have several walks around our home, accessible from the garden. We have super friendly dogs called Tango and Sawyer so I'm afraid that we cannot have pets as guests and can only have guests who like pets. This is a private home in which I have various rooms and one separate guest Annex, the latter of which can also be used as self-catering. I don't mind at what time you come in at at night and can only hope that you will enjoy your stay fully. I am usually busy in the house or gardens so tend to be at hand for my guests but self check-ins are easy for the rare occasions that I am not around. If you are looking for a romantic getaway or a place to be by yourself, I believe that Arreton Manor would be very welcoming for you. During the Festival, Wedding season, Cowes Week, Halloween, New Year's Eve and other such weekends, the house does come alive with parties. We have a full premises licence if you wish to purchase any drinks or wish to have a bottle waiting for you in your room. We would be thrilled to have you become part of our home’s long history! People often mistake our home for a hotel due to its size when booking so please take note of this and be assure that you will be seen as our guest with a more personal service.
