It’s the simple things in life like when and where. Enjoy talking by the campfire, fishing from the dock, we don’t have internet, but you will never forget the sunsets and the way the moonlight shines upon the lake. 5 miles from downtown Charlevoix, & Lake Michigan. Just N. of Torch Lake & S. of Petoskey & Mackinaw area. Our cottage is on a small quiet lake great for fishing & swimming with private access to our dock on another lake right across the road. Our ranch style cottage has 2 bedrooms, 1 bedroom with a queen bed and 1 with twins. We have 1 bathroom with shower only, and a 20gal. hot water tank (quick showers) A kitchen for cooking, and lake view family rooms for entertaining. Ours is a peaceful country setting with access to two lakes for fishing canoeing and swimming. You may see much wildlife; Deer, turkeys, chipmunks, geese, herons and Eagles and of course mosquitos. Its perfect for those looking for a quiet getaway.

Very relaxing, clean, cozy, but lots of room. The view of the lake from the dining table is so nice. Fishing right off the dock was very productive. Area is so quiet and peaceful. Would love to go back. Don't hesitate to take the Ironton Ferry if coming from the Petoskey side. For a close Lake Michigan sunset go to the main entrance of the Fisherman's Island State Park. Wonderful beach there.
We had a wonderful time just grilling good food, relaxing and fishing! Didn’t want to go home.

Beautiful spot to relax and disconnect. We loved enjoying our coffee in the morning out by the water and listen to the local loon calling out on the lake. The cabin itself was perfectly clean, had a very well stocked kitchen with plenty of appliances, dishes, and tools. Comfortable, quiet bedrooms and a great main living area as well. Finally, the hosts were super proactive about making sure we knew how to get in and very flexible with our check-in and check-out times. We would definitely come back for another peaceful weekend in this gorgeous spot.
Kelly and Jim's place was exactly the peaceful, accessible home away from home we wanted for our vacation up north. They were extremely hospitable, even from afar, leaving ingredients for s'mores, a rock painting kit for our daughter, local recommendations for where to eat and how to avoid traffic getting into town, and maps of excursions. We loved our time on the lake and would not hesitate to go back. Thanks, Kelly and Jim, for a great stay and for being superb hosts!

We are just down the road from beautiful downtown Charlevoix and their cute boutiques, casual dining, delicious ice cream and treat shops and the beautiful views of Round Lake and Lake Michigan. Drive about 20 minutes north to Petoskey and Harbor springs area, continue north another 40 minutes to Macinaw and the upper peninsula. Or head south 20 minutes to Torch Lake and another 40 minutes south to Traverse City “the cherry capital of the world” The new Skybridge attraction (walking suspension bridge) is just 33 minutes east of the cottage in Boyne. We are close to bike and walking trails. Lake Michigan and Lake Charlevoix boat launch and beaches. Castle Farms and Depot beach wedding venues less than 15 minutes away. Antique shops, golfing, casinos and wineries all in the area. In fall Apple orchards and corn mazes right around the corner.
