Wij hebben een heerlijke tijd gehad op het kasteel! Jerome en Charlotte zijn hele hartelijke en vriendelijke mensen. Ze verstaan hun vak als gastheer en gastvrouw! Wij hebben Frankrijk echt op een mooie manier leren kennen. Prachtige omgeving, fijne avonden met de andere gasten. Wijn proeverijen, BBQ, massage, heerlijk zwembad erbij, leuke dieren, je kunt veel informatie over de omgeving krijgen van ze. Wij hebben erg genoten en een mooie Franse herinnering.
We stayed at the Chateau with our two children and had a wonderful stay. The wine tastings, BBQ- and pizza evenings were amazing. The Chateau is very child friendly and there is plenty to do in the area. Charlotte and Jerome are very kind and friendly hosts. Will definitely go back.
We highly recommend staying with Charlotte and Jerome. The location is perfect for day trips, the surroundings absolutely beautiful, the house spacious and very comfortable and ideal for kids as well. We will definitely rebook if we decide to visit the Loire valley again.

Château de Chargé - Loire Valley Retreat is located in the the rolling country side only 8km from Chinon - just 10 minutes drive away.
Chinon is conveninent for its shops, restaurants and a weekly market on Thursday.
Getting to Château de Chargé - Loire Valley Retreat is very easy by car. It is also easily accessible by train (fast train service from Paris to Saint Pierre des Corps just 45 mn drive away) or by plain (airport in Tours, Angers and Poitiers all within 1 hour drive). Renting a car is easy from the train station or any airport.

Jérôme et Charlotte have renovated Château de Chargé since 2008 and live on site with their 4 young children. They love the Touraine region, its wines, gastronomy and local history.
