Soggiorno splendido! La mia compagnia ed io abbiamo avuto un'esperienza favolosa. Il cottage è incantevole, immerso nella natura e con un'atmosfera magica. È davvero accogliente e dotato di ogni comfort. Marlin è stato un host estremamente gentile e attento. Ci siamo sentiti subito a casa e siamo stati deliziati con un’ottima colazione. Non posso che raccomandare questa meravigliosa esperienza a chiunque cerchi un rifugio tranquillo e autentico a Durness. Grazie a Marlin e a Kyunghee per aver reso il nostro soggiorno indimenticabile. Torneremo sicuramente!
GORGEOUS place, AMAZING food, KINDEST people, MOST COMFORTABLE bed in existence, and the LOCATION was to die for. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Worth every penny.
We had a lovely relaxing stay at Smoo Lodge, made all the more special by the welcome and personal touches. There was also a great choice of freshly cooked food on the breakfast menu.
Beautiful guest house in an idyllic location. Friendly, welcoming owner. Loved the Korean breakfast!

自我介绍
I and my wife, Kyunghee, both love landscape, nature, art & culture, music & dance, especially Argentine Tango. I worked as a freelance photographer, specialising in work within the arts, as well as teaching photography. Kyunghee moved from South Korea to London, to study and work in Fashion, but she is also a fantastic cook - whether Korean, Japanese or Western dishes. We moved back to Durness in 2015 (my childhood home), to be closer to my family, and we started renovating our home, a beautiful period property. Kyunghee and I dedicated two years to designing, decorating and styling the major part of the house, which we now run as a luxury B&B, the perfect place to rest in comfort, surrounded by stunning landscape.
