Looking to escape the hubbub of the city for a while or perhaps pause the travel button for some R & R? This is just the place. Well appointed in a quiet, country location not far from services in Motueka or locations like Kaiteriteri, Marehau, Mapua or Rabbit Island. We were a five adult (two couples plus one), one toddler family, well catered for in the bedroom and living spaces (we brought portacot and high chair knowing these weren’t part of the deal). Plenty of outside areas for the adults to chat, read or snooze and a cat, chicken and trampoline to keep the toddler amused (plus the local livestock just over the fences). Janice met us to explain the workings of the place and was available by phone but we didn’t have to resort to that often. Everything worked (some appliances had their foibles), eggs supplied by the chicken and the weather gods were kind. General consensus: it was just right for us. So, what are you waiting for? Go chill. Thanks Janice and family.

Janice is a wonderful host. Her house was perfect for us and we would happily stay there again. We enjoyed waking up to birdsong every morning and then heading out to the beach or for a walk.

Janice’s home is lovely, spacious and very comfortable. It was great for our family of five adults to spread out and enjoy the many places to sit both inside and out. It has good access to able Tasman national Park and it’s close to grocery shopping and restaurants in Motueka. Janice and Andrew were extremely responsive when there were a couple of problems. Something happened with the well or pump and we didn’t have water for a short bit. They were right on top of it. They are boysenberry farmers and we arrived during the season, to find a large tub of gorgeous boysenberries in the refrigerator for us. Also, there are four chickens that lay eggs, so we had eggs for breakfast whenever we wanted them! I highly recommend Janice and Andrew’s house.

Janice's place is in a beautiful location and not too far from town. It's clean and spacious and had eberything we needed, and more. We had fun feeding the hens and the fresh eggs were a real bonus.

Our stay at Janice's house was perfect for what we wanted. The house is beautiful and spacious and easily accommodated the six of us. The kitchen was great, as were the outdoor areas. The house is located in a quiet rural setting which is perfect for getting away for the hustle and bustle of everyday life, and it was only a short drive to Mapua, Motueka and Kaiteriteri. Belle (the cat) was super friendly and we loved looking after her! Can definitely recommend Janice's place.
