We had the most incredible long weekend at rocking stone cottage. Rachael and Gerry were extremely helpful before and during our stay, offering support and tips with directions, walks and activities in the local area. The cottage itself was spotless, comfortable, cosy and had everything we needed. We felt completely relaxed and recuperated during our stay. The fire is just gorgeous, as is the roll top bath and incredibly comfortable beds! Rachael cooked some delicious brownies which was such a nice touch and super kind. Thanks so much, we will absolutely recommend to friends and family, and hope to visit again :)

This is a beautiful cottage that has been carefully designed and has a wonderful ambience. The pictures on the website are great but it's even better in person. We were blown away by the property. There was plenty of space for parking - which was a plus as we had four people in our party coming from different locations. The cottage had all the amenities we required including lots of useful info on the local area. Our hosts Rachael and Gerry were incredibly kind and had baked us warm brownies on arrival. The dogs on the property were incredibly friendly and docile. I'd highly recommend this property and would happily return one day.

We spent a lovely few nights at Rocking Stone Cottage. Everything was just as good as it looks in the photos and Rachael greeted us with a box of the most delicious brownies - perfect after a long drive. Rachael and Gerry have done a wonderful job with Rocking Stone and made us feel right at home. It was lovely to meet Charlie and Jeffrey too. Thank you to you both!

We booked very late, Rachael was quick to confirm and had plenty of information of things to do, places to visit and lots of cafes and restaurants at different price points. Delicious brownies as a welcome gift, thank you. Beautiful views and very quiet. Lovely walks from the cottage but also not far to Haddon hall and Chatsworth by car. As well as easy access to local towns. The cottage is great, beautifully equipped and cared for. We can’t recommend Rocking Stone Cottage and Rachael highly enough.

We had a lovely stay at Rocking Stone Cottage. The hosts are welcoming, friendly and responsive. The property was spotless, well-maintained and homely. Everything is well thought to ensure the comfort and convenience of guests. Small touches like the fireplace stacked and ready to light, and the excellent lighting options throughout, were very welcome. The bed was very comfortable and the location peaceful making for a good night’s sleep. Lots of nice walks direct from the property including visiting Buttercup’s barn from the Princess Bride and the stone circle. I recommend the local pub The Druid Inn - a short walk away, cosy with good pub food.
