This was by far my best Air BnB experience.. Very homely and welcoming host, and the place and staff make you feel like you're in your own home.. Clean place with great historical architecture and furniture and over set up.. Innoka served some awesome home made food.. and the property being spacious there was a lot to do like take walks.. swim in a clean and well maintained pool or spend time with the pets that themselves are so warm and welcoming to guests.. Janaka is a very warm and kind host and ensures that all guests are comfortable at all times. He's also an experienced global traveller so can spend hours talking to him abt culture and philosophy. Absolute no brainer from a place and cost and amenities perspective, this hld be your preferred place to stay when in Sri Lanka.

We stayed our three last nights in Sri Lanka in Rajitha’s villa - what a dreamy place! It’s so beautifully decorated and the swimming pool is great. It’s a very peaceful villa, surrounded by friendly cats and dogs, palm trees and flowers. You will also have the most amazing Sri Lankan food ever - honestly, the best food in the country! Rajitha is an extremely kind host who will take such good care of you, even if he is all the way in the US. It’s a no brainier - definitely go stay there!

This place was a lovely relaxing stop before going home. The hospitality was brilliant and we felt very relaxed. They helped us with local tips, arranging tuk Tuks etc. Thanks!

Serene Villa is a very special place and the perfect place to begin your Sri Lanka adventure. Rather than heading through the city you’ll travel a scenic 30 minute drive through the countryside to arrive at the shady driveway of this beautifully restored family villa. You’ll be greeted by lovely soft tones, tasteful decor, wonderful food and Janaka, the perfect host. Laze away some hours on the veranda or by the wonderful pool surrounded by flowers & greenery, stroll around the property with its cinnamon trees, fruit gardens & ponds, and eat wonderful home cooked Sri Lankan food to your hearts content. During my 2 weeks in Sri Lanka i stayed at the villa 3 times .. Janaka introduced me to friends & family, helped me to plan my trip, showed me around where he could & even helped me to find a dentist. Far from feeling that you’re on any tourist trail Serene Villa quickly feels like home as Janaka is concerned with your happiness more than business & will do his best to ensure you have a great experience in both his place and his country.

What a lovely beginning to our holiday.mr Janaka and his staff were super friendly and helpful. The photos of the condo don’t do it justice. It’s very spacious, with one big bed and 2 x1p bed, private bathroom and even a little kitchen and fridge for all your midnight munching needs. It also has a door that opens up the the plantage. Very nice. The big house is also great and very very big:) The pool was lovely and mr Janaka truly made us feel very welcome. Our little girl (3) enjoyed the pool and kittens very much. And Netta made a great effort in cooking without the spicy spices which was wonderful. even with the sounds of passing traffic and sometimes a plane it still felt like a true paradise!! Again thanks for everything!
