Julie's place is lovely...it is the Quintessential Farm Stay. On this 4+ acre lot you're surrounded by grazing horses(3), vast veggie gardens, coffee growing and you can hear the Mono Congos howling(its awesome). You have the option of staying in a private cottage(this listing) each with a private bath or you can stay in the big house that has private rooms to rent with privates bathrooms(or you can rent the whole house for yourself). There's a community kitchen, living room & large patio all separate from the hosts private living quarters. On top of all that, Julie includes daily breakfast...all were very yummy & vegetarian upon request✨. Julie is a superb chef/Hostess & her staff is welcoming & helpful. The location is remote but busses ran daily & the host will pick you up pretty much anywhere. Great value & peaceful stay with amazing views. Highly recommend✨

I stayed at Julie's finca for a month and can safely say this is a peaceful place where you can relax, unwind, and unplug in the hammocks, garden, and simply with the views. The birdwatching is superb, with at least 30 different species I identified! Julie herself is a fabulous cook with lots of different specialties, so I highly recommend going for the meal plan—she even accommodated me as a vegetarian. I also needed to see a doctor while I was there and she recommended a place and took good care of me. The team that works with her on the farm is wonderful and take good care of the guests and property. By the end of my month, I got to know everybody and I was sad to say goodbye. This place seems most ideal for solo travelers/couples, folks looking to keep it low key and unwind. Julie can coordinate little day trips with and for you, but if you're planning on going to and fro a lot and doing your own thing or have a group, you'll likely want your own 4WD car. If you're planning on doing a digital nomad style stay make sure you have some backup power or hotspot, as similarly to other places in Nicaragua, sometimes the services can get interrupted. And keep in mind you're on a farm in the mountains so you'll see some creepy crawlies but most of them seem to be on their last leg by the time you see them.

The views at this location we perfectly dreamy. The trees, flowers and hundreds of butterflies plus the backdrop of misty magical looking hills made it perfectly romantic and a lovely place to call home for just over a week. Julie was an exemplary host and went above and beyond in every way possible. The work she has managed to do in this location is amazing and very beautiful property. A wonderful breakfast is included and other meals can be prepared for a price. Julie has a great local knowledge of the area. The location is remote and felt safe.
