This was a perfect place to spend a week. Cute apartment with a nice kitchen and wonderful porch with occasional monkey visitors. Air conditioning in the bedroom was great for sleeping and shower was great. 5 min walk to beautiful beach, frequent buses to Bridgetown and oistins, as well as restaurants an an ATM. the apt is on a compound w other air bnb apts which was nice because other guests gave us great travel tips. Also a sweet dog named Marley lives on the compound which we loved. Highly recommend as a nice and affordable place to stay !

Jennifer was very responsive to questions we had before our stay. We were met by Carl, who was extremely friendly and helpful, and was on-hand throughout our stay for questions. The wifi in the apartment was very good, and the apartment is just a few minutes walk to the beach, and to the main road where you can easily get a bus to Bridgetown and other parts of the island. The area was very quiet and safe. However, it wasn't quite clear to us from the Air B&B listing that the Breadfruit is one apartment in a small complex of holiday apartments, and when we arrived were actually staying in another apartment - not Breadfruit. The other apartment was fine, but not quite as nice as Breadfruit. Maybe future guests should check with the host to see what apartment they're getting.

We stayed four days in March 2016 at the Breadfruit apartment, part of the Karibu Garden complex, spacious and relaxing. We arrived close to 1am, we were a bit late and Carl was waiting for us. He had some drinks in the fridge and brought us some fruit for breakfast the next morning, which was very nice of him. The pictures show accurately what the apartment looks like. There are mosquito nets in all windows and two ceiling fans that help to cool the kitchen and bedroom. We didn't need to use the aircon. We had no issues with mosquitos although we saw two cockroaches running on the floor. We let them out and problem solved. It did not look like being an infestation problem but more like “nature having easy access” to the apartment. The apartment is a bit old and being very picky, some corners could do with a deeper cleaning. The bathroom has a bathtub that is a bit old and higher than floor level. There are two steps to access it. For us it was no problem, but it would be for people with reduced mobility. The balcony beside the bedroom is great and it has its own clothesline. The complex has a laundry with two big capacity washing machines and open-air space to hang up your clothes (mine dried in 20min!). Wifi connection at the Breadfruit apartment was good but after 10ish pm I couldn't find any signal. The church beside the complex starts ringing bells at 6am. For us it wasn't too bad as it did help us enjoy an early start. Our return flight was late at night and we asked Carl if we could stay a bit longer. I guess the apartment was not booked after us and he had no problem with us staying until 6pm. We ended up picking our suitcases in the apartment later than agreed and he was cool about it. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay. Carl is a very welcoming and cool guy and we would definitely go back.

Carl was friendly and helpful. Jenifer was not present for our 5week stay in Breadfruit. The location is great for shops, restaurants, beaches and Boardwalk. The Queen bed was comfortable and air conditioning in the bedroom was a godsend as the kitchen area was very hot for cooking. The two balconies were great-one for breakfast and dinner when the temperature is cooler and the other during the day with a cool breeze most of the time.
