This is a beautiful space! The terrace was amazing with great views and access from each room. The birds are singing in every tree in the mornings. We had no trouble finding or entering and Elisabete was waiting with a warm fire when we arrived. We visited in November so the weather was quite rainy and damp. We were expecting this but I agree with other reviews that the fireplace took a while to get going and heat the entire space so make sure you are comfortable starting wood fires and bring a cozy sweater! The kitchen was well stocked with cooking basics and coffee maker, and Elisabete greeted us with fresh pão levados, the local specialty. My son enjoyed all the streaming options on the smart tv and my mother enjoyed the short walk down to the Dona Beija hot springs. Thank you Joao and Elisabete!

Belle maison authentique dans un beau cadre avec splendide vue ! Très agréable à vivre ! Toute proche à pied des bains chauds. Elisabete qui est en charge de la maison est très accueillante et réactive. Une belle adresse !

We LOVED this place!!! The house is spacious and light, very private and with fantastic views. Big covered outdoor deck/patio and eating table where we sat for breakfast and dinner every night, even when it rained. There is plenty of room inside to eat, too, but we enjoyed that outdoor space. ROKU/Netflix etc is available on the TV. The kitchen, living room, bedrooms are all very big and airy. The refrigerator is good sized with a good freezer compartment. The stove and oven work well. The water pressure is fantastic, and there is plenty of hot water. We got the fire going in the fireplace some of the evenings, and this heats the whole house via an interesting duct system. There is a bathtub & shower in one bathroom; a shower stall in the other. Both bathrooms are great. Plenty of parking on the property for both our cars. The house sits high up on a hillside (with stunning views all the time from all rooms) and at the end of the road. Easy walk to everything in town.
