Connie’s place is wonderful! She is such a pleasant and helpful host. She provided a long list of local recommendations, and the house/grounds are historic and beautiful. Connie even arranged a traditional Irish music night for us on our last evening. Thanks so much, Connie!

Constance is the sweetest person, so accommodating and quick to respond!! Prior to our trip they gave a long list of recommendations which was very appreciated!! Upon our arrival our GPS didn't take us straight to the gate but when we called she answered and was able to get us there. She met us at the manor and gave us a tour, showed us everything we needed to know!! She checked in throughout our stay and made sure we had what we needed!! The grounds were beautiful and some cool ruins on them as well, kind of tucked back from the road and private!! It is a great location being about an 1 hour to an 1 hour and 30 min from coast to coast!! I would highly, HIGHLY recommend this stay!!

Absolutely beautiful home. The grounds and the history really make for an amazing stay. The hospitality of Connor and Connie is next level amazing. They were so kind and checked in on us. We had some snags on our travels so we got in late. We assumed we would pick up a key somewhere but they went above and beyond. They met us at the house at 10 pm and even ordered and picked up food for our family. They gave us a warm welcome and showed us around the house. I’ve never met such welcoming hosts before. The village doesn’t have much but Moate down the road is nice and the hosts gave many recommendations. The river is beautiful and the animals on the property are amazing. Just be sure to have bug spray as we did find a tick on one of us, but it was prime weather for that. The house itself is beautiful and overall clean. It needs a little maintenance and you should expect some quirks because of the age and size of the home. Hot water and plumbing are not consistent and there are cobwebs.

For the 13 of us, we believe we paid a fair price; all accommodation in Ireland is expensive. We found our hosts to be very welcoming, helpful, and responsive. We all very much enjoyed our stay and had a great time. On rainy days the games room came in very handy. The house is very old with a long history and a lot of character. A perfect house to play hide and seek! Those of our party who stayed in the lower floor bedrooms did have to heat the room as they tend to be a bit humid, but a few hours of heating took care of that. There are plenty of bathrooms including one with a jacuzzi. Of the bathrooms there are two with a shower and bath, most others have a bath with a shower head, but not an enclosed shower. On the lower bathrooms however there is not enough hot water for a full shower, but this is a temporary problem awaiting resolution, and there are plenty of other bathrooms to make up for that. Our hosts were very helpful, responding quickly to all our needs. A wonderful place.
