I wanted to take my senior parents on a nice weekend trip. It was our first visit ever to Ferndale, and our stay at Kathleen's home made it all that more perfect. The house is beautiful, spacious and peaceful. Kathleen has gone above and beyond with attention to the smallest details, and has the home stocked with everything from towels, linens and toiletries, to small appliances, clear instructions for the home, suggestions and brochures for meals and shopping, and even board games. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, and the back deck was so relaxing for morning coffee. The home is beautifully decorated and perfectly located. Everything was just a short walk away along Main St. I think Kathleen has set the bar very high, and she is the type of host that others can aspire to be like. She was very helpful , sweet and responsive, and answered all our questions promptly. We will definitely be returning. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Nice home in perfect condition. Everything was as promised and everything worked. It is conveniently located close to downtown, though still in a very quiet and peaceful neighborhood. It is probably the first Airbnb rental having literally everything we might need, from herbal tea to small ziplock bags, laundry detergent and even cotton swabs. It has plenty of space, the photos show the real size of rooms without any tricks with focus and perspective. Also appreciate very clear instructions on how to check-in and plenty of brochures about local places.

Francis Creek Retreat was everything we wanted and more. Kathleen and Dennis know how to make a home inviting and comfortable. From the attention to the decor and sweetness of the house, to providing the most wonderfully stocked kitchen, and cleanliness, this will undoubtedly be our choice for visiting the Humboldt area again. Our only regret was not having another few days and sunnier weather to explore the coast. We would highly recommend staying here in any kind of weather! Good local restaurants, and wonderful hosts. No hiccups of any kind!

A true gem!! Perfectly clean, comfortable, and seamless self check-in. You can feel the warmth and kindness of the host by how lovely the place is set up. Everything you need is exactly where you'd expect. Such a relaxing place to stay! And you're just a block or two from downtown Ferndale with a number of great shops and restaurants. Thank you, Kathleen!! I really enjoyed my time here.
