Your own lockable, relaxing, private space in the colourful Hanover area of Brighton. Enjoy a restful nights sleep on a king-size bed with fresh cotton linens. The room benefits from an en-suite private bathroom with towels and complimentary toiletries provided. Your own private loo is just along the hallway and down three steps. The room is situated at the front of the house and the view looks out over the city. On a clear day you can see the South Downs and the sunset is incredible. A calm, neutral space with everything you might need for your stay included. There is a kettle with tea and coffee and snacks in your room and I will leave fresh milk or plant milk for you in a little fridge outside the room, where there is a microwave and an espresso machine, stocked with fresh coffee. There is a dedicated workspace, a desk and chair in your room with a task light. Great view if you have to do some work.

This was my first time staying in and air bnb and I have to say I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone! I loved it, was really nice to have my own private bathroom and Catherine was lovely, I felt at home right away and there is everything you could possibly need in a little cupboard just outside of the room. I was really impressed with the private space and the door also has a lock which made me feel more comfortable. Catherine let me know that my friend who I was visiting could visit anytime also, he popped round before we went out for tea and he said the room was amazing too. The bed is super comfortable and I had some really good nights sleep whilst here, if you’re solo traveller and are worried about staying in someone else’s home, don’t be if you stay here! Catherine was a wonderful host and I felt very safe and secure in her property. Will definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Brighton!
L'esperienza a casa di Catherine è stata davvero piacevole. Non ho avuto la fortuna di incontrarla di persona, ma siamo state sempre in contatto, e lei è stata molto molto carina con mio marito che non parla inglese e che ho mandato a fare il check-in. La camera è bellissima, l'alloggio corrisponde alla descrizione, la pulizia è impeccabile, e tanti piccoli dettagli sono un valore aggiunto importante: nel bagno sono disponibili moltissimi prodotti diversi; in camera sono presenti caraffa filtrante, bollitore, macchina per il caffè, thè e tisane, snacks, asciugacapelli, ferro da stiro...tutto quanto possa servire. Coperte e asciugamani super comfy. Non lasciatevi spaventare se non troverete il wc nel bagno in camera: è in un'altra stanza, sul pianerottolo, ma è dedicato a voi e la privacy è garantita (il secondo piano è riservato agli ospiti). Zona tranquilla e panoramica 20min a piedi dal centro, in collina, ma servitissima dai bus (2£). Consiglio vivamente di soggiornare con Cath!
We had a great stay! The room is cozy, location is perfect, just a few minutes bus to city centre.

The local area is very friendly and there is a wonderful park with a large pond behind the property for some green space in the city. Stepping out of the door there are plenty of characterful pubs and cafes serving all kinds of different food. It is a great neighbourhood to explore before you head off into the city centre or down to the seafront to experience all the city has to offer .
The house is situated at the top of a hill and there is plenty of transport links minutes from the door to take you to every part of the city and Universities. It takes 25 minutes to walk to the station, 15 minutes to the North Laine, and 15 minutes to the Seafront, St. James's Street and Kemp Town. If you are arriving by train I recommend the number 18 or 37b buses which will drop you near the house. You can take the 37b bus from the bottom of Southover Street which will bring you straight up to the house.
PARKING
You have to pay for on-street parking in the majority of Brighton or there are car parks. The street next to mine is pay by phone or via online. It costs just over £6.50 per 11 hours. You have to move it every 11 hours but you will usually find a space with no problem. Parking is free from 8pm until 9am in some of the surrounding roads. I have used all my allocated visitors parking vouchers up currently. Please download the app 'PayandPark' for your ease. Some guests have found private parking for their stay through the app 'Parkopedia" I hope this helps.
