We loved our stay here! A lovely family and dog friendly place with everything you need on your doorstep. We enjoyed the canal view with the canal boats and wildlife swimming by. We were here in winter, summer would be amazing!

Fantastic in every way. Kate and Nick are great hosts, very help full. It was perfect what we needed. Worth every penny. We would definitely stay again. if they'll have us haha.

A fantastic location with the garden backing onto the canal, a nice popular pub just over the road and a local shop. The house was is a little quirky but clean and comfortable - ideal for a family trip away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Our family of 6 (4 kids, 10-19 yrs old), plus our 1 year old Weimaraner, had a fantastic stay at Kate’s home over Christmas and Boxing Day week. Kate made us feel very welcome, including our dog. She even put up a decorated Christmas Tree, and left out a fully set Christmas table, replete with decorations and crackers. The house was clean and very homey. By the end of our stay my youngest daughter said we should negotiate to swap houses permanently with Kate :-). The house had all essentials, with everything we needed. Beds very comfy, with nice linens & towels. It’s also very well located. Great walks (including off lead dog walking) start literally at the doorstep. There is a very close neighbourhood market/ off-license (5 minute walk) that is well stocked and reasonably priced- we did virtually all our shopping there. Also 5 minutes walking distance are a couple of good pubs, and an outstanding Indian - Sitar. We found the takeaway Indian across from Sitar very good too (very large portions, which answered my question as to how they compete with the highly rated Sitar across the street). The kids had a good day outing at the Snow Centre, skiing and snowboarding. A short 10 minute walk away is also a big community sports centre, where you can buy day passes to use facilities (we’d gone there for the pool).
