Farr House is spacious, clean, private, and a perfect base for anyone exploring Inverness/Loch Ness. Lucy is a great host; our check in and check out were effortless and she was available throughout our stay for any questions or concerns.

Wow!!! We had an amazing stay here at the Farr House. They really undersell how great this place is in their listing. It was above and beyond what we expected. Lucy and her husband were the best hosts and we loved getting to spend time with them and experience a bit of local life. The estate property is vast and beautiful. We loved visiting the animals, taking walks, and spending nights in the library. I would highly recommend booking here for anyone with a large group. I traveled with my family and my husbands family and there was plenty of room for all 9 of us, with still extra rooms available. Thank you Lucy for your wonderful generosity!

Lucy and Andrew provided a wonderful stay in their family heritage property, located in an amazing environment, its estate of many Highland walking paths, its own Loch with rowing boats. The family's modern businesses of tree growing and felling and its environmental business of on-shore windfarms wired to the Scottish Power grid are fascinating and were brilliantly shown to us by Lucy and Andrew in their Land Rover Defenders, followed by lunch in one of their "alpine" chalets in their hills. We enjoyed all our trips out, the ones to Foyers Water Falls, Urquart Castle and Fort Augustus especially. We were a party of 12: 2 grandparents, 3 daughters with partners and 4 grandchildren - this was a much-needed holiday to bring us all together for long enough, and it worked, wonderfully.

We had a truly wonderful stay. The house, the grounds, the loch and the estate are all stunning. Isolated and peaceful and yet a short drive to Inverness, Loch Ness and surrounds. Thanks go to all the team. Special thanks go to Lucy for her swift response to our queries and all she did to make our stay so memorable. We visited as a large family group and found the set up and arrangement of rooms to be perfect. The outside seating area and gardens are lovely. We had an anniversary celebration during our stay. Lucy gave us wonderful menu suggestions for locally sourced produce and cooked a delicious dinner. We highly recommend.

It wasn't just the house, which is a lovely, sprawling manor house beautifully decorated and stocked with everything you might want. And it wasn't just the breathtaking countryside, ranging from farm fields to windy moors to placid lakes. Nor was it the variety of activities to be found nearby: a visit to Loch Ness, an off-road trip up to the moors, a look at the battlefield at Culloden and the town of Inverness, an expedition to pat and comb a highland cow (the kids loved that!), and fly-fishing lessons. It was the people who operate their ancestral home, Farr House: Lucy and her husband, who took care of every detail, cooked great meals for us and made sure we had everything we needed, plus some. Thank you, Lucy and Og. We will always remember.
