Our stay was really good, the roof terrace is definitely the highlight of the apartment and the beautiful garden, which is very well maintained. The apartment met our expectations, the bathrooms are a bit old and very small. But overall it was great. Gina, the housekeeper who looked after us, was super attentive and helped us a lot with the garbage.

A private paradise that was on the water with spectacular sea and Mountain views

We spent a week at Mario’s family villa(four adults). The outside space was peaceful with many shaded areas as well as the roof terrace which always had a breeze from the sea. There is no AC if that is important to guests, but there are large, efficient overhead fans in each bedroom, the kitchen and outdoor dining area, as well as many windows and screened doors. Our dates coincided with unprecedented high temperatures throughout Europe (so definitely NOT something host could control!)and we simply closed up the villa during the day to keep it cooler and then opened up everything into the evening. During normal temperatures AC likely wouldn’t be needed as there was always a breeze and shade to be found. A few steps and you are in the sea! Outdoor shower was welcome to rinse off sand and water shoes. Kitchen had everything we needed. Little hidden restaurant La Macchia next to complex was great. A car is needed to explore the area and shops. We would love to return one day to Mario’s!

Mario’s place had a beautiful garden and fantastic rooftop terrace where we enjoyed spending lots of time during the day. The proximity to the beach was awesome and the restaurants in the town were really good. We did have a problem with one of the bathrooms during the stay, Mario sent out a plumber to look at it right away but ultimately it needed a big fix and we were down a bathroom throughout the stay which was unfortunate. But overall we had a great time and enjoyed Calabria!

Alles in Allem war es ein schöner Urlaub, überhaupt wenn man abseits vom Massentourismus sein möchte. Jedoch würden wir diese Unterkunft nicht mehr buchen, da aus unserer Sicht das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis nicht passt. Obwohl das Haus am Rande des Village-Dorfes liegt und es einen sehr schönen Gartenbereich mit direktem Strandzugang, sowie eine Dachterrasse zum Sonnen und Chillen gibt, ist das gesamte Haus und im speziellen die Bäder und sanitären Anlagen aber einfach zu alt und nicht mehr zeitgemäß. Ich war mit 3 Freunden (im Alten von 37 bis 58 Jahren) in der Zeit von 21.6. bis 5.7.2023 in dieser Unterkunft.
